Like many others, I thought the regular use of an electric toothbrush, occasional use of an interdental brush and regular visits to the dentists are all I needed to maintain good gum health.

However, I was diagnosed with bone loss due to gum disease and referred for periodontal treatment. After being tutored on the importance of using correctly sized interdental brushes, my gums no longer bleed and are much healthier.

I wish I would have been more diligent with the use of interdental brushes many years ago. But now with regular thorough cleaning at home I am confident my situation will remain stable.

I have used interdental brushes in the past, however, The Teeth keeper interdental brushes are far superior. The different size brush heads easily attach to an aluminium handle, which has a far greater reach than a standard interdental brush, so much easier to reach the back teeth!

The brush head bristles are compact and soft, and find they capture more debris and plaque compared to other brushes I have used. The brushes don’t seem to bend out of shape easily.

I had one implant and was not given any advice on aftercare and continued to use my electric toothbrush and flossed. Dr Dip Malde did my second implant and noticed bleeding from the first implant.

Dr Dip Malde gave me specific advice about keeping both implants clean.  I now use correctly sized interdental brushes as well as the single tuft brush for the implants and my teeth, which has stopped the bleeding. I feel confident in avoiding infection and loss of my implants.

It was a simple change in my dental routine and I have suggested it to my family for general dental hygiene.

I was used to using an electric toothbrush and flossing. Flossing, though a step up from just brushing did not seem to do enough cleaning.

Following Dip’s advice I started using Interdental brushes. Dip, in later consultations also checked and sized the brushes that I needed to use.

Since then, I can confidently say that my dental hygiene feels so much better and I have entirely switched to interdental brushes now along with brushing. I believe this has been a very helpful change in my dental routine.

The interdental brush is lightweight but feels sturdy with a great grip and perfect length for access. The angle on the interdental handle makes it much easier to access hard to reach areas of the mouth.

The plastic waste reduction compared with traditional interdental brushes is the biggest bonus. Not only is this an efficient, well designed and well made brush, but also it is far better for the planet.
